Woo hoo!  You’re open for business!

But hang on a minute – a business with no customers is not really a
business, is it?  Time to start promoting your new site to the
world.

Promotion is crucial for your new site. Without it, Google won’t
know your site exists and you won’t get visitors. So you absolutely
must promote, promote, promote!

Today we introduce you to a fantastic new tool called Traffic Bug.
It takes the hard work out of site promotion and will help get your
site noticed in no time flat.

There are three videos in Lesson 8:

INDEXING AND RANKING – GuruBob explains indexing and ranking, the
difference between the two and why they are so important to the
success of your site.  He also explains how Googlebot  searches
websites for new content, how to influence the Googlebot and how to
find where you’re site is ranking in Google search results.

INTRODUCING TRAFFIC BUG & USING TRAFFIC BUG – Mike from Traffic Bug
details all the great things Traffic Bug can do for you including
automated social bookmarking, RSS distribution, search engine
submission, and directory submission!  Then he walks you through
creating your free Traffic Bug account and setting up your site in
the system.

After today you will have a good understanding of how ranking and
indexing works, you will have created your Traffic Bug account and
will have submitted your domain URL and the URL of your first blog
post.
